A new partnership in Fayetteville is taking a quieter approach to development. One that favors thoughtful design over big splashy builds.

Hometown Collective and Front Porch Real Estate are teaming up on a series of residential projects aimed at filling in the city’s “missing middle.”

The goal? Create homes that are walkable, well-designed, and actually fit the neighborhoods they’re joining.

🏘️ On Your Front Porch

  • Hometown Collective and Front Porch Real Estate are partnering on exciting new builds.

  • Timeline: 3 new project sites are expected to go live in Fayetteville in 2026-2027.

  • Why it matters: These projects are expected to provide affordable housing close to the heart of Fayetteville.

🏡 A Different Kind of Infill

If you’ve spent any time wondering what “good growth” could actually look like in Fayetteville, this might be it.

Rather than pushing farther outward, Front Porch NWA and Hometown Collective are focused on infill, meaning we want to add housing within existing neighborhoods in a way that feels intentional.

That means smaller footprints, more attention to design, and a focus on how homes connect to the surrounding area.

📍 What’s in the Pipeline?

A few Fayetteville projects are expected to break ground this year:

  • A 17-unit townhome development: 2-3 bedroom units near the downtown Square designed for walkability and proximity to downtown.

  • Two custom homes: Single-family residences off Happy Hollow bringing higher-end design into an established corridor. These are 3-4 bedroom (2,300-2,600 sq. ft.) homes with large backyards and elevated design.

  • School Avenue Development: Plans for four urban detached homes on South School Ave, will bridge the gap between apartments and traditional single-family housing. These are expected late 2026-2027.

Each project leans into density, but without going overboard. They offer an alternative to both sprawling subdivisions and large apartment complexes.

🤝 A New Partnership

Hometown Collective and Front Porch Real Estate complement each other by pairing thoughtful development with community-focused brokerage.

Hometown Collective brings a design-driven approach to building smaller-scale, context-sensitive housing, while Front Porch Real Estate specializes in connecting those homes to buyers who value neighborhood character and walkability.

Their aim is to expand the housing supply with a focus on quality, raising the bar for design and long-term value. They manage each project end-to-end, from acquisition and planning to construction and final delivery.

Together, they align on a shared vision: creating attainable, well-designed homes that fit naturally into Fayetteville’s fabric bridging the gap between how homes are built and how people actually want to live.

If these projects land well, they could offer more than just new housing, they could help shape a blueprint for how Northwest Arkansas grows from here.
