Pea Ridge is growing fast and it’s making plans to keep up with the pace.
The city's announced a new infrastructure package that includes projects designed to support both current residents and future development:
🚰 Easterling Lift Station Upgrade: Expands sewer capacity, opening additional land for future residential and commercial development. City officials expect the project to be completed by January 2027.
🚧 Road improvements: Targeted street upgrades are intended to improve traffic flow and create better connections as new neighborhoods continue to come online.
💧 Water and wastewater investments: Utility projects are increasing capacity so the city's infrastructure can accommodate continued population growth without overloading existing systems.
🏗️ Infrastructure to unlock development: Several of the projects are designed to prepare land for future commercial and residential construction, allowing the city to grow in a more coordinated way.

Pea Ridge isn't the only city thinking this way. Across Northwest Arkansas, communities are making similar long-term investments to keep pace with growth.
The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission has identified more than $6 billion in transportation projects through 2050.
